She is author of two manuals: Teaching Class Piano in the City Schools and How to Teach the Traditional Piano Technique ; both are available from this web site. She has presented numerous seminars on Class piano teaching , Pedagogy, Beginning Chopin, the music of Anton Bilotti and the piano technique of Ludwig Deppe

Her piano series for beginners, Keyboard Kids, Santorella Publications , embraces the Kodaly theory, and has proven successful with autistic children. Her series of supplementary books, Piano Comps , are also available from this web site.
She is an active member of the Music Teachers Association of California, the Music Teachers National Association, the Pensacola Music Teachers Assoc. and the Pensacola Symphony Guild.

Carolyn Pennello Carson , was a prodigious six year old when she began the study of piano with her first teacher being the principal clarinetist with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York City. In subsequent years she studied at the Manhattan School of Music, Rhodes College in Memphis , the University of San Diego and participated in seminars presented by Nelson & Neal, duo pianiists, Eric Steiner, Gyorgy Sandor, Lili Kraus, Daniel Pollack, Irwin Freudlich, Soulima Stravinsky , William Newman, David Carr Glover, Robert Pace, Sidney Foster, Ylda Novik,, Max Camp, Alexander Peskanov, Lorin Holleander and Ruth Slenczynska. Her major private teachers were Joseph Martucci and Dora Zaslasky of New York City and Anne Ewell of the Conservatory of Music in Norfolk ,Virginia .Ewell was a former pupil of Leschetizky and Joseffy.
